On 22 March 2025, history was made at the FNB Stadium with the Awakening South Africa National Day of Prayer and Repentance. Led by visionary founder Rachel Kalidass, with keynote speaker Dr Michael Cassidy, this landmark gathering brought together church leaders, parliamentarians, business leaders, youth, and former gangsters — united in humility before God.
Extended moments of repentance marked a powerful turning point for South Africa, addressing deep issues such as political corruption, violence, immorality, idolatry, and ancestral practices. The Spirit of God stirred a fresh cry for national healing and revival.
The journey continued toward a Closing Gathering on Table Mountain, Cape Town, on 3 October 2025, with prayer, fasting and repentance at the centre of the movement’s call.

The vision is to cultivate more than a single event: a sustained movement of prayer, repentance, reconciliation, unity and spiritual awakening across South Africa.
